Scott Perry Reportedly Given Contract Extension

The New York Knicks are coming off their best season in nearly a decade, and as a result, some members of the front office are being rewarded.

Knicks’ general manager Scott Perry was offered a multi-year contract extension by the team, according to The Atheltic’s Shams Charania.

Perry was brought into the organization in 2017 and was responsible for acquiring assets like 2020-21 Most Improved Player Julius Randle and Derrick Rose. Perry was also notably on an expiring deal and needed a new deal to remain with the organization.

The Knicks made the playoffs for the first time since 2013, finishing fourth in the Eastern Conference but losing to the Atlanta Hawks in the first round of the playoffs in five games.

Perry and the Knicks are looking to have a potentially big offseason, with rumors linking them to NBA stars like Damian Lillard, Ben Simmons, and Collin Sexton.
