DeAndre’ Bembry to Sign With the Brooklyn Nets

The Brooklyn Nets signed veteran forward DeAndre’ Bembry to a one-year deal according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski. Terms of the deals were not released but it is assumed due to the Nets salary constrictions, it’s at the veteran’s minimum.

Bembry signed a two-year contract with the Raptors last year, but they waived him before his 2021/22 salary became guaranteed. After their pursuit of Andre Iguodala failed, the Nets turned to Bembry and signed him as an unrestricted free agent.

DeAndre’ appeared in 51 games for the Raptors last year, averaging 5.7 points on 51 percent shooting from the floor while shooting 26 percent from beyond the arc. His versatility on defense and athleticism will provide depth for the Nets.
